Fees are paid monthly in advance by credit transfer.
Fees are based on 51 weekly payments divided by 12 to give a fixed monthly charge.
For children who qualify for the ECCE scheme, the grant is taken off the monthly fee.
There is a 10% reduction for siblings attending simultaneously.
We are here for you between the hours of 7.30am and 6.00pm, Monday to Friday.
Prompt collection of children in the evening is essential as late collection may upset your child. Please let us know of any change in your child’s collection arrangements. Children will not be allowed to leave the crèche with an unauthorised person.
The crèche is closed at Christmas for the statuary bank holidays plus five working days. You are not charged for those five days. We are also closed on Good Friday and bank holidays throughout the year. Unfortunately no fee concessions are possible for extra holidays or sick days.
The Clare Elizabeth Crèche provides three nourishing and well-balanced meals per day.
Breakfast of porridge or Weetabix is provided from 7.30am to 8.30am. The children have a mid-morning break of a snack (rice cake, bread stick etc) and a drink of milk.
Our main meal of the day is supplied by Nosebag Catering. They provide a varied menu with emphases on freshness and nutrition in a HACCP registered kitchen. Meals are delivered from a refrigerated van directly to our fridge. Our lunch and tea menu is displayed daily inside the crèche door.
Tea is served at approximately 3.30pm and the children enjoy fresh fruit at 5.15pm. We suggest that parents share a light evening meal with their children before bedtime. Children are not permitted to bring sweets into the crèche. Where special diets are required we will facilitate them as far as possible.
To protect your child and all other children in the crèche, infectious diseases must be reported to us immediately. A child suffering from vomiting, conjunctivitis, impetigo, chicken pox or scarlet fever may not attend the crèche due to the risk of infecting the other children in our care. We advise that parents make alternative arrangements for the care of their child in case of illness. This is best arranged before the child starts with us.
We generally exceed the standard adult/child ratio regulations as laid down by Tusla. Their recommendations are:
Babies: 3 to 1 adult Juniors: 6 to 1 adult
Toddlers: 5 to 1 adult Seniors: 8 to 1 adult
We are insured with Royal and Sun Alliance Group under the Early Childhood Ireland special Crèche Scheme.
The crèche doctor, Dr Rita Doyle, has her surgery close by us on the Meath Road. She is available to give advice and to deal with any emergency should one arise.
All children and staff take part in a Fire Drill practice at least once a month.
We hold a Garden Morning on the last Saturday of June each year between 10am and 12noon. Past, present and future parents and children are welcome to attend with family and friends.
We celebrate each child’s birthday with a special cake and gift, a photo with their friends and a progress report. They are the special children for the day. All the children share and enjoy these occasions.
A word from our parents..
“Thanks for taking such great care of Samuel over the last three years and for all the fun!
Paul, Barbara & Samuel
“Hard to believe it’s already time for Lucie to leave Clare Elizabeth after 6½ years in total with Aimee and Lucie. It really is the end of a hugely important and wonderful chapter in our lives. I’d like to thank you for all the love, care and education you have given to both our daughters. They really are better for it.
